St. Patrick's Day is a day celebrated in many countries. He is between the most popular between of all the Saints.
Ireland has a holiday on his day and wherever there is a large Irish population, for example, countries like United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina and many other places we see large parades and festivities on his honor.
St Patrick was known through emigrants who fled from Ireland during the potato famine. He was born in Briton and at a young age he was captured, enslaved and taken to Ireland. Hi master in Ireland made him tend and herd flocks of sheep. In the middle of this slavery struggle he seek for God and receive His vision which on how to escape from his captors and he succeed escaping and reuniting with his family in Briton.
He renounce all his family’s riches and decide to go study to become a priest and eventually a Bishop. He went back to Ireland to evangelize and succeed converting the entire pagan island full of godless sacrifices and witchcraft into Catholics. Many miracles happened during his time through this days.
